These are students who have dedicated themselves to the goal of Black Belt and are entitled to advanced training. Instead of two classes per week, they have the opportunity to attend 3 regular classes as well as the specialty classes listed below.
- Four Winds Class
Warriors with advanced agility are at a definite advantage and the warriors of the Ancient World were no different. This program will teach, step by step how to perform beginner and advanced gymnastic martial skills. Cart wheeling kicks, kip ups off the ground, aerials, front and back handsprings as well as back and front flips. These are not just for show, we will teach the students how to add the skills from this class to their individual combat style.
- Weapons Class
We rotate through a different weapon every month! Our Wolf Pack Members can train in 4 different weapons in a single year, we cycle through Irish Bata (stick), Celtic Searr (sickle), War Flail (Nunchukas) and the Quarter Staff. Although we know most ancient weapons are not that practical for modern day, the training in them is still great for building Eye-Hand Coordination and reaction time.
- Sparring Class
Students get the opportunity to test out their training in a way only Ancient Ways can provide. Our sparring training is designed not to teach our students how to win in the ring, but instead how to win in defense of their lives or the lives of their loved ones. We take the play out of sparring. This is all done with a close supervision and a level of safety to keep everyone training and healthy.
- Ground Fighting Class
We have a separate Mixed Martial Arts Program but still suggest our Wolf Pack Members attend these classes to learn how to defend themselves if they should find themselves on the ground.
